China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS) published that CFETS RMB Index on 29 August 2025 closed at 96.57, losing 0.20% from the end of last month.

In order to facilitate the market to observe the change of RMB effective exchange rate from different perspectives, CFETS also published RMB indices based on BIS currency basket and SDR currency basket respectively. On 29 August 2025, the above two indices closed at 102.44 and 91.23 respectively, losing 0.13% and 0.28% from the end of last month respectively.
